In Norway, we celebrate Christmas on Christmas Eve; Dec 24. Traditionally, people will have their Christmas dinner at approx. 5pm, after first having seen the boys choir «Sølvguttene» on the telly. After a – for the kids, seemingly everlasting – break for tidying the table and doing the dishes, families gather in their living rooms to open their presents, one by one. Some will even have Santa coming around, to deliver the gifts. (Unfortunately, dad is often busy with an errand and completely misses out on Santa’s visit..!)
Anyway, this Christmas my partner took care of the cooking and I grabbed the opportunity to get some fresh air by heading off to the nearby waterfall. As you can see, December has been pretty wet and dark!
