I keep returning to the cemetery, this time for two special kinds of wood anemones.

One is the double flowered, or filled, wood anemone – Anemone nemorosa ‘Vestal’. The other is the yellow wood anemone – Anemone ranunculoides. None of them are supposed to grow in the wild around here, I even had a small argument with a knowitall when I told him we had the yellow ones where I live. (He shut up when I showed him my photos.) I am actually considering getting some from a gardener to plant outside my house, we’ll see. At today’s visit, the yellow ones had opened, while the double-flowered still has a couple of days until bloom. Instead, I shot a few double exposures of spring buds and of daisies.
