Sakura season

Sakura is usually associated with Japan, and the blossoming season over there is definitely on my bucket list. Until then, I will have to do with our town’s local celebrity tree, as seen in the middle of the Google Street View map below (picture obviously taken off-season..!) :

I had just let my kid off for a drawing class in the red house to the right of the cherry tree, when I realized I had to stop for a quick photoshoot. I grabbed my camera and the Edge 80 and snapped the below pictures (ok, one of them is taken using the Soft Focus optic). Please click the thumbnails to view larger:
