Hunting the first spring flowers

Finally, winter let go! The pandemic is still holding its firm grip on the world; mine included, so no social fun right now. Luckily my “cohort” includes two photo friends, and this weekend we ventured out to look for the first signs of spring: the Hepatica Nobilis. Alas, all we could find were two lonely buds — but we got loads of fresh air, we got to talk to each other, and there was, of course, the odd motif other than those missing flowers..!

All images are taken with a 1.5x crop sensor camera; the lenses used are the Sol 45 and the Velvet 56. Click to view large:
